Slurve is a web development studio based in Philadelphia.

Slurve was founded in 2006 by Tom Rose, a Philadelphia-based web developer with over 20 years of experience building custom websites and CMS-powered experiences.

Tom works directly with every client — no handoffs, no account managers, no intermediaries. He primarily works with WordPress and HubSpot CMS, building custom themes and components by hand with a focus on simplicity, performance, and usability. Beyond the CMS work, Tom contributes to design decisions, accessibility strategy, performance optimization, and overall user experience.

When he takes on a project, he works to understand not just what you need built, but how your team operates and what success looks like for your business. That approach has led to a lot of long-term client relationships.

Tom works from his home office in West Philadelphia, and is always happy to collaborate onsite when the project calls for it.

Oh, and slurve? It’s a baseball pitch. Part curveball, part slider. Cy Young threw one. Kerry Wood used it to strike out 20 batters in a single game. It’s also just a really fun word to say.
